Ambulance Driver
Reports to: Station Supervisor/Manager
Summary/Objective
Under general supervision, provides advanced level emergency and non-emergency care to the ill and injured, to include assessment of illness and/or injury, management of such patients, preparation for transport, transfer of information, and patient care.

1.
Possess good verbal communication skills
2.
Interact professionally with other health care personnel
3.
Interact professionally with disabled, disadvantaged, sick and injured persons
4.
Cleans all equipment following appropriate disinfecting procedures, including inside & outside of vehicles
5.
Restocks and replace used linens, blankets and other supplies
6.
Complete daily vehicle inspection and makes careful check of all equipment so that the Ambulance is ready for the next run
7.
Maintains Ambulance in efficient operating condition
8.
Keep clean and neat at all time
9.
Wear company issued uniforms while on duty; additionally, be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of uniforms
10.
Secures all passengers in van per the Company Passenger Securement Policy
11.
Responsible for safe loading/unloading of all passengers
12.
Responsible for safe operation of vehicle in all environmental and traffic conditions
13.
Understands basic medical-legal principles & terminology
14.
Ensures all reports, letters, and documentation are accurate and completed in timely fashion

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
CPR & First Aid Certified
Valid driver’s license
Physical Demands
1.
Physically strenuous and can be emotionally stressful
2.
Bending, sitting, kneeling, moving and lifting patients and equipment
3.
Must be able to drive/ride in ambulance for long periods of times without issue
4.
Must possess physical agility necessary to lift and move patients safely
