Members of this team are responsible for the overall use and implementation of components including the Confluent platform, observability, governance, best practices, and solution development.

Net or Node.

Responsibilities Develop and implement solutions using Kafka in .
NET, Node.
js, and scripting.
Responsible for regular duties related to an on-call rotation.
Regular pair programming sessions with engineers.
Administer and improve use of Kafka across the organization including Kafka Connect, ksqlDB, Streams, and custom implementations.
Work with multiple teams to ensure best use of Kafka and data-safe event streaming.
Develop deployment pipelines to Kubernetes for Kafka components.
Identify and monitor both self-managed and fully-managed Kafka components.
Understand and apply event-driven architecture patterns and Kafka best practices.
Enable development teams to do the same.
Identify needs for and develop reference architecture.
Assist developers in choosing correct patterns, event modeling, and ensuring data integrity.
Identify and implement metrics and alerting needs.
Perform regular reviews of performance data to ensure efficiency and resiliency.
Contribute regularly to event-driven patterns, best practices, and guidance.
Review feature releases, assess viability of new features, and implement adoption plans.
Work with manager to ensure all teams are aware of technology changes and impact.
Coordinate and execute data migrations, platform migrations, and feature updates.
Troubleshoot issues in a microservices architecture.
Support CDC operations, Kafka Connect, Connectors, and ksqlDB.
Requirements At least four years of experience supporting applications in a production environment.
At least two years of cross-functional, cross-team work experience developing and completing projects.
Intermediate to Expert-level understanding of either .
NET or Node.
js programming language and one scripting language.
You will be expected to read and navigate code in multiple languages.
Proficient with containers.
Ability to participate in and contribute to code management in Github including actively collaborating in peer-reviews, feature branches, and resolving conflicts and commits.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong sense of responsibility with a bias towards action.
Comfortable self-directing and prioritizing your own work.
Microservices experience.
Kubernetes experience.
Experience with at least one cloud provider (Azure preferred).
IaC experience (Terraform or similar).
Kafka or other messaging system experience is a plus.
Distributed tracing experience a plus.
Flink experience is a plus.
