Overview:
Supports multiple systems which includes coding, implementing, and maintaining the following systems: order entry; order fulfillment/distribution center/shipping; inventory; finance; merchandising; marketing; e-Commerce.
This position requires weekly onsite work in Omaha, NE.
Detailed Description:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Interprets design documents, completes analysis and creates designs on simple tacticals under general supervision
Conducts design walk throughs on own work
Codes, tests, and debugs moderately complex programming projects from detailed specifications with supervision across one or more platforms
Sets-up unit test plans and assists in system testing
Assists in defect incident report cause determination and resolution
Provides status reports on assigned projects
Creates programmer and client documentation
Abides by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company, Inc.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Marginal Functions
Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Ability to effectively interface with customers, clients and other departments
Possess an understanding of business applications
Possess good written and verbal skills
Ability to become proficient in the daily operations at Oriental Trading Company
Proficient in database normalization to fourth normal form
Knowledge of SourceSafe or other source control software
Understanding of System Analysis, Design, and System Integration
Knowledge of one of the following: Access, SQL Server, Oracle, DB/2, or DB/2 400
Java EE Technologies (ranging from EJB to JSP), HTML, CSS and XML
Education
Bachelor’s degree or in progress to complete a Bachelor’s degree

Ability to perform the job in a safe manner
