Who We Want The Web Developer is responsible for the creation, maintenance and enhancement of various Wordpress sites, pages, posts, plugins and other web elements.
This position requires a combination of programming skills and understanding of design/UX and web analytics principles.
Duties include assisting the marketing team in creating websites, collaborating to deliver a polished experience.
The person filling this position must be detail-oriented, have experience building in web development languages (HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, etc.
), and an interest in working day-to-day in a fast-paced marketing environment.
The Web Developer will be responsible for design, creation and optimization of WordPress pages, posts and other web elements.
This person will also be responsible for adhering to core website best practices – SEO, site speed, accessibility and more – as well as a responsibility of working with DNS registrars and server hosts to support websites.
This position requires a combination of strong front-end Wordpress development skills, adherence to brand guidelines and ability to consider all impacts related to web development – analytics, integrations, conversion rates and other proven marketing metrics and practices that ensure our sites convert one-time visitors into valued, long-term relationships.
You’ll work alongside other marketers, including web developers, designers, content creators, analytics experts, project managers and events specialists.
What To Expect Work closely with Marketing and Development teams to support the building and development of websites for Carson Partners Design and implement new features and functionality on Partner websites Manage aspects of the website CMS including technical functionality, content, imagery, plugins, etc.
Create responsive web pages and posts Build new websites under an existing Wordpress structure Edit and update websites, communicating progress through client request system Manage visual identity of Partner websites including page layouts, banners, button, illustrations and other required graphics Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding development direction and project status Serve as a sign-off for sites and page builds, ensuring that all functionality, SEO, design, content pieces, and corresponding elements are publication-ready and deliver an exceptional experience for the end user Design and develop new sites and web pages Implement new features and functionality on Partner websites Implement website architecture (SEO, conversion rates, etc.
) as directed Manage CMS for technical functionality, content display, image loading, etc.
Manage visual identity of Partner websites including page layouts, banners, buttons, illustrations and other required graphics Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding design or development direction and project status Serve as quality control for sites and page builds, ensuring that all functionality, SEO, design, content pieces, and corresponding elements are publication-ready and deliver an exceptional experience Track and report on effectiveness of website enhancements Implement various marketing campaigns to increase website conversions What You Need Ability to read, understand and implement detailed documentation around processes and procedures associated with day-to-day work tasks Ability to read and interpret systems documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Skill in strong work/project organization and planning Proficient analytical skills and the ability to use data and market knowledge to continually evaluate and optimize products, driving innovation and efficiency Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Javascript Proficiency in using or integrating with marketing platforms such as Hubspot, Salesforce, Marketo, Marketing Cloud, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities Excellent understanding of UX/UI design Experience working within a custom WordPress theme Experience using development tools like code editors, FTP, Github, etc.
Experience developing and testing responsive websites to ensure usability on various browsers/platforms Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Search Console, SEM Rush, Page Speed Insights and other optimization platforms leveraged by website managers Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers Ability to communicate with team members, clients, and relevant stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner Ability to receive feedback as a welcome challenge to iterate and come to a collaborative solution.
