Job Summary:
Will be responsible for maintaining in depth knowledge and understanding of both enterprise applications and the potential use cases for them by the end users.
The Business Application Administrator will serve as a primary point of contact for business partners to take in requests for functionality, and will document the requests, determine if we are positioned to solve with what we have, build, or buy.
Will be responsible for choosing how assigned applications are configured and utilized to deliver maximum value to our customers, within the boundaries of designated security standards, while ensuring maintainability by IT staff.
What you'll do in this role:
Requirements - Solicitation and definition of Business Requirements by collaborating with the business and facilitating the process of gathering requirements.
Systems Design - Design solutions with user centric mindset and streamlining business processes.
Solution Building - Build solutions with existing applications or recommend buy-solutions.
Test, implement, support - Build and execute the testing, implementation and support of the solutions built.
Also includes ensuring training of end-users occurs and the IT Helpline is able to provide 1st level support.
Documentation -Document requirements, approved system architecture and design, specifications, test plans, test scripts, and knowledge base articles - Responsible for all related documentation, not limited to: requirements, specifications, test plans, and test scripts.
Maintain the inventory of the solutions built.
Product Releases - responsible for keeping current on features and releases of supported applications.
Be able to share relevant features with IT management and leverage in Solution Builds as appropriate.
Ideally, you have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information system or related field.
3 years of relevant experience in information technology, systems analysis and design, and application support.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Ability to build solutions with user centric design to facilitate user productivity and positive user interface experience
Ability to perform system analysis and design
Proven ability for project coordination
Application user License management;
Light Scripting / API Consumption for reporting or data management;
Subject Matter Expert on commercial-off-the-shelf applications and custom built applications
Proven ability for critical thinking and problem solving
Proven ability to learn new tools and technologies and/or applications
Ability to collaborate with business partners
Excellent communication skills
Ability to follow established policies and procedures
Experience working with Google script and workspace products
Experience with Smartsheet
Experience with Jotform
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
