Provide thought leadership on infrastructure, architecture, and security matters across the organization.
Improve the monitoring, performance, security, and scalability of our deployed systems.
Manage the security accreditation process for our products and leading the charge on adjudicating findings.
Work with engineering leadership to assess and improve upon DevOps practices across the organization.
Help improve configuration management to ensure all systems are properly and consistently updated.
Continuously keep themselves up to date on the state of the art in DevOps tools and practices.
Requirements Job requirements: BS degree in Software Engineering related degree, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in software engineering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to respectfully challenge the status quo.
Understanding of security and its application to development and operation of information systems.
Strong understanding of computer networking, designing systems for scalability, and troubleshooting of complex systems.
History of implementing security, automation, monitoring, analytics, and feedback mechanisms for running systems.
Experience supporting security accreditation processes including static analysis, CVE scans, and operating system hardening is desirable.
Proficiency working on Linux-based operating systems.
Experience with Continuous Integration tools, such as: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab Experience with deploying and managing services on one or more major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
Understanding of cloud-native application design and implementation is desirable.
Experience with automated cloud deployment tooling, such as: CloudFormation, CDK, ARM, Terraform Experience developing code using one or more general purpose programming languages, such as: Python, Java, C#/.
NET, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript Ability to work both independently and as a member of an agile development team.
Nice to Have: Current US government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
CompTIA Security+ certification, other security-related certification, or the ability to obtain one.
