Cambium is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team.
This position will be Full Time, Monday-Friday as well as some nights and weekend work as needed.
The Systems Engineer will assist in the design, implementation, and support for customer IT infrastructures in the Omaha, NE area, including desktops, servers, network devices, and VoIP technologies.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong set of skills that will help them manage multiple endpoints, resolve problems independently, and research emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, a team player, as well as reliable, hardworking, courteous, and enjoy working with people.
This person will be responsible for support of end users but will also play a key role in support of other technologies that Cambium offers and supports.
The candidate will also be required to assist other team members as needed on tasks, projects, and other duties as needed for the continued success of our engineering team.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
· Provide end-user support for all PC and some Mac based hardware, such as desktops, laptops, docking stations, telephones, mobile devices and local printers, as well as common business applications, and services.
· Provides new user setup and orientation including installing and configuring workstations, setting up user and email accounts, setting up phone services, as well as offboarding customer’s team members as needed.
· Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and support for Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Cloud and On-Premise Unified Communications platforms, and Windows Server technologies.
· Assist the engineering team in design and implementation of server, network, and telephony hardware and software.
· Create and maintain documentation of customer’s IT infrastructure including hardware and software inventory
· Create, document, track and monitor tickets in Connectwise, and provide a path towards, and completing a timely resolution.
· Participate in answering incoming support line calls, tickets, and on-call rotation with the rest of the engineering staff.
· Assist our sales team with onsite surveys and hardware recommendations
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
· 3-5 years working in Information Technology operations with experience in end user support operations (A+, Network +, CCNA, and other certifications are a plus).
· Experience configuring and supporting access, core and edge networking equipment and their functions.
(Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki and Aruba)
· Strong knowledge of VoIP and Unified communications platforms.
(CUCM, 3CX experience preferred)
· Experience with Windows Server and virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V)
· Connectwise Manage experience a plus, but not necessary.
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Highly developed research, analytical and conceptual skills.
· Attention to detail and customer service skills are essential.
· Ability to handle and protect confidential information.
