This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity, have a foundational understanding of security principles, and are eager to grow their skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Essential Duties and Functions: Provide support in day-to-day activities related to threat and vulnerability management.
Collaborate with senior team members to gain expertise in various security infrastructure technologies, including both software and hardware components.
Assist in evaluating and documenting system security requirements, with guidance from senior engineers.
Participate in the configuration and maintenance of network and security infrastructure software and hardware.
Support senior team members on security implementations and network projects.
Contribute to the design of effective IT controls and assist in monitoring their execution to manage risk and ensure compliance with regulations.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of security test plans for detecting and mitigating risks to information systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security activities with compliance, risk management, and information security requirements.
Contribute to user security awareness training initiatives.
Participate in the development of security policies and standards under supervision.
Assist in planning and conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests for clients.
Evaluate security controls, policies, and procedures to assess compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Contribute to risk assessments, helping to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
Review documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident response plans for completeness and accuracy.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure support.
The attitude and aptitude for pursuing a career in IT security.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect, and upholding company values.
Technical Competencies: Willingness and aptitude to learn technical aspects of cybersecurity.
Exposure to or basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including concepts related to firewalls, switches, IDS/IPS, TCP/IP, and other network protocols.
Interest in security-related concepts, such as vulnerability management, identity and access management, and risk management.
Eagerness to develop proficiency in security technologies and tools.
Ability to contribute to documentation and process improvement efforts.
Familiarity with security technologies is a plus but not required; training will be provided as part of professional development opportunities.
Work Environment/Travel Demands: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
Travel demands for this position are estimated up to 0%.
Employees must comply with all travel recommendations regarding “safe travel” according to company policies and guidelines, and all federal, state, local, and international orders.
Physical and Mental Demands: Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 0 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
This also includes standing for up to two and a half hours consecutively, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, stooping, fingering, and grasping.
Expressing and receiving detailed information through written and oral communication.
Also has an ability to make sound, appropriate, and prompt decisions within the guidelines of the role.
