Volunteer Specialist Hillcrest Health Services is looking for a part-time Volunteer Specialist for our Hospice Iowa team! The Volunteer Specialist is responsible to oversee all volunteer programming for Hillcrest Health Services with the primary emphasis on recruitment and retention of Hospice volunteers.

What does a day in the life look like? • Actively recruits volunteers in the community through various opportunities.
• Meets or exceeds the 5% of the total patient care hours provided by volunteers per CMS regulations.
• Designs, schedules, and coordinates volunteer orientation, training and support group sessions for Hospice volunteers and assigns to cases/duties as appropriate.
• Maintain volunteer personnel records/files and complete appropriate documentation of all volunteer activities to reflect type of service, time involved, and submission of time sheets.
What should I have to be considered? • Degree in Human Services or in a health care field preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of experience in volunteer services or related field.
